Search Engines, Guaranteed Search Engine Rankings – What Kind of Listings are Best For Your Website

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

It seems as though wherever you look on the internet, there are companies promising you the best possible search engine rankings ever – for a large sum of money of course. But what the catch phrase for some of these companies should be is – Buyer Beware.
Every website owner dreams of being on the first page of Google Search Results. Who doesn’t want to be in the top ten of listed search results right? We all know that the higher our search engine rankings with search engines will increase the traffic to our website, which in turn increases our profits. But just wanting to be on the top of search results is not enough to get there. Let’s face it, there are a lot of quality websites offering the same kind of products as you are who are also vying for a coveted spot on Google.
The key to getting the search engine rankings you want on search engines is to understand how they work. In search engines, there are two sets of listings that you should know about. 1.Organic Listings – These are located on the left side and are free listings. 2.Pay Per Click Listings – These are located on the right side and are placement ads.
Placement within the pay per click listings is a sort of auction setting. The bidder who wins the highest bid on a keyword will get rights to holding the top spot on the pay per click listings. So what is better for your website – organic or pay per click listings?
Depending on the scope of your business and how familiar you are with SEO keywords, either one could be effective for you. Those who are seeking results in organic listings need to be very efficient and knowledgeable on how to use SEO keywords for the best search engine rankings. There are many companies out there that specialize in helping clients get the search engine rankings in organic listings, but it can be very time consuming and expensive.
If you are not inclined in SEO tactics, Google suggests you may want to start with pay per click listings instead. It is much cheaper to go with this way and less time consuming that trying to get to the top of organic listings. There are still costs involved however, and you still may want to consider adding in other forms of advertising to increase traffic to your site.
If your website does not have real deep pockets to be able to afford the best services available for gaining high listings with organic keywords, pay per click listings may be the way to go. It is important to note that there are other ways of gaining traffic to your site, such as in article advertising.
The basic rule of thumb is that there is only one company that can guarantee the best search engine rankings and that company is Google, any other company that is promising that you should be very wary of.

Search Engines, Social Media Rules: According to Lee Odden

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Social Media is the hottest topic in terms of Search Engine Optimization and Internet marketing, but so many businesses and search engine optimization firms are questioning how to best utilize this new development in web interaction. Lee Odden of TopRank Online Marketing developed a list of for a social media campaign which has served as a SMO guideline of sorts for the SEO community as well as individual business SMO efforts. Though the world of Social Media has grown exponentially since Odden first put forth these guidelines, I believe they have stood the test of time. If you are growing frustrated with a complicated and diverse SMO campaign, or if you are just getting started and are finding yourself daunted by so many options, perhaps it is time to revisit the basics of SMO with this simple list of guidelines created in 2006.
This list includes a both on-page and off-page social media practices. In terms of on-page strategies, these guidelines should be heavily considered.
1. Increase your linkability – through quality design, content, and navigation
2. Make tagging and bookmarking easy – through bookmarklets and other tools
3. Reward inbound links
4. Help your content travel
5. Encourage the mashup
6. Be a User Resource, even if it doesn’t help you
7. Reward helpful and valuable users
The remaining social media guidelines are intended to keep your efforts focused and effective. It is important to approach Social Media as a real person or entity, becoming a real participant.
8. Participate in Social Media Networks
9. Know how to target your audience
10. Create quality content
11. Be real
12. Don’t forget your roots, be humble
13. Don’t be afraid to try new things, stay fresh
14. Develop a SMO strategy
15. Choose your SMO tactics wisely
16. Make SMO part of your process and best practices
These are simple concepts that help to shape your SMO strategy and the success of that strategy. Sometimes it is simply important to revisit your basic approach to Social Media Optimization in order to reorganize and update various strategies you currently employ or consider for the future. Because there are constant developments in this field, SMO campaigns may easily become diluted by unnecessary efforts, so it is important to keep your basic motivation and strategy in check. These guidelines are only a simple outline to help focus your involvement with Social Media. If you have questions about this list or other SMO practices, feel free to comment to this blog to open a discussion.

Search Engines, Directory Submissons and links SEO

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

In order to improve a website’s page ranking and ultimately increase traffic, the basic rules and logic of search engine ranking need to be taken into consideration, namely the relevancy and form of the content, and the number of visitors and links, which indicate the site’s popularity.
However, a gentle balance is required in order to optimize your position in search engine results, because the search engine’s algorithms and crawlers have become so sophisticated that they can detect even the very subtle methods of “spamming” a website with content and links. The most efficient “white hat” method of getting around this problem seems to be complying with the search engine’s requirements, i.e. writing and linking a website or directory which truly serves the visitors.
A few of the basic guidelines to successful SEO:
* New content is one of the most valuable resources in the web. The content of the website must be relevant, coherent and exclusive to its location.
* The website’s interface must be usable and convenient; including helpful features such a site index, a Q&A page and means of contacting the administrators for tech support.
* The links to and from the site must be of reasonable quantity and high quality, meaning they link to and from sites with similar relevancy and high page ranking. Using a directory can easily do this.
* Web crawlers also analyze the site’s design and graphical aids, evaluating the work put into the website as a part of its relevancy.

Since links between sites are what actually make up the internet, and are the means of search engine’s crawlers of exploring and noticing new websites, smart and careful linking can be the key to dramatically boosting a site’s traffic and page ranking. In 2006 Google directory and boot revised the way their algorithm evaluates links, and many sites with high ranking which were actually “link farms”, plummeted in search engine results. The location of a link within a body of text, the relevance of the surrounding text, the title of the link word, and the location to which the link word points now have more influence on page ranking. This has prompted the creation of many link directories and article directory which are content-based websites, to which any visitor with a website may submit articles and link words or phrases from the article to his/her website, either for free or in exchange for payment. For example, a person who owns a site that supplies gardening equipment can post an article about gardening, and link the word “water” from the article to an inner-page on his/her website which discusses irrigation systems. When done properly, this method has a good chance of increasing page ranking by following the SEO guidelines: quality, hand-picked, relevant link words, surrounded by relevant text, linking to relevant content in the target website.

Affiliate Programs, Planned a Joint Venture?

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

A joint venture can be a very profitable business move. In such an arrangement, two or more separate businesses form another entity under shared control. Most of the time the “parent” companies retain their own interests outside of the venture, but everything inside the venture is shared.
The strategy behind a joint venture is that it should be an alliance between businesses with complementary capabilities. Capabilities are factors such as finance, technology, distribution and personnel. Your company may have great distribution channels but lacks the finance. You should enter into a joint venture with a business that has the financial capability but has poor distribution.
So that everyone in the joint venture gains, and gets what they want from it. But conflicting views among the parties to the venture can spoil the party. So here are some things you should look at before you become party to one:
Do a background check
When choosing a business partner, make sure you are dealing with somebody you can trust and who you can rely on to be a responsible partner. Remember that in a joint venture, your reputation is as much on the line as your partner’s. Consult third parties in order to verify the credentials of your partner to be.
Business Plan Development
All parties involved should take part in developing a business plan for the joint venture. The plan should be developed using a short list of prospective partners. It should also clearly define the goals of the venture, and how success will be defined. The plan should also contain a mutually agreeable exit strategy and terms of the joint venture’s dissolution. Provisos for an unexpected dissolution before the term is up should also be included.
Registering the company
There are many different ways to structure a joint venture. Limited Liability Corporations can be formed, as well as other types of new businesses. Many fast growing companies structure their joint ventures as strategic corporate partnerships. Do your research to decide the best way to register your venture.
Property and resources
Ensure that what each partner brings in terms of land and buildings, revalued or depreciated and other resources are clearly spelt out. Remember to establish whether any conditions attached, like limitations on use of property. Clearing all issues at this stage will help avoid monetary problems down the road.
Special Allocations
Decide how to apportion special gains or losses, and income and deductions to each member before you sign on the dotted line. And at the same time, establish how to recompense members who make particular services available
If these issues cannot be worked out, maybe it is time to partner with someone else. If you can work out all of these issues satisfactorily before you form a joint venture, then you will likely find success in a profitable partnership. For more useful tips & hints, please browse for more information at our website:- www.jointwebventures.com www.jointventures.reprintarticlesite.com

Do It Yourself SEO: How to Generate Free, High Pagerank Links Quickly and Easily

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Here’s a quick and easy search engine optimization (SEO) technique that anyone can use to generate free, high Google pagerank links to their site.
SEO in a nutshell: get quality links to your site; the higher the pagerank, the better.
The problem is that if you submit your site to a high pagerank directory or search engine, it can take months for your site to appear. Moreover, many high PR directories and search engines charge big bucks for the privilege of getting listed with them. For example, the Open Directory Project (DMOZ) directory takes several months or more to list a site. And Yahoo charges $299 per year for a commercial site to be listed in their directory.
While it’s great to be listed in these directories and search engines, many will automatically find and list your site free if you have good quality links to your site. High pagerank links to your site indicate to many search engines that other sites that they rate highly link to you. Therefore, they conclude, your site will probably be useful to their users. So you deserve a higher pagerank, according to Google. And the higher your pagerank, the better your search engine visibility. It’s part of the SEO game and you can learn how to play.
Now here’s my secret to getting some high pagerank sites to link to you immediately and at no charge.

First you need to create a web page on your site with a list of links. You will be adding links to other sites on your links page in exchange for these sites adding your link to their link pages. So let’s call this page a reciprocal links page. You don’t just add any site to your reciprocal links page, however. You will be looking for high pagerank links to add to your links page. It’s better if you include links to sites that are related to your products or services. To make search engines happy, limit each of your reciprocal links pages to about 50 links.
Many sites maintain their reciprocal link pages using the free LinkMan script from PHPJunkYard. If you wish, you could do the same, but it is not necessary. You can download this php script from http://phpjunkyard.com
The LinkMan script allows a site’s visitors to add their links immediately after they add links to the site on their pages. So all you have to do is to find sites using this LinkMan script, add their link to your reciprocal links page, and you can immediately add your link to theirs.
Because the LinkMan script is free, the developer requires the following notice on the links page: “Powered by Link manager LinkMan 1.02 from PHPJunkYard – free php scripts.”
You can find sites using LinkMan then by searching for the exact phrase “Powered by Link manager LinkMan 1.02 from PHPJunkYard” on Google, for example. Note that there are other scripts named Linkman, so you should not just search for “LinkMan”. Play around with your search phrase to find also sites using earlier versions of LinkMan.
Visit some PHPJunkYard LinkMan link pages with a browser showing the Google pagerank. You will very soon come across a site using LinkMan that has a high Google pagerank. Bingo! Add their link to your reciprocal links page and then add your link to theirs. You immediately have a free link on a high pagerank site. Free instant SEO!
And that’s a quick and easy search engine optimization technique you can use to generate free, high pagerank links.

The E-lottery Syndicate System and Uvme Associate Program

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

In April 2002 Virtual World Direct (VWD) created the worldwide e-Lottery Syndicate System.

The e-Lottery launch product was the UK National Lotto Syndicate which gives players a huge advantage over those playing the traditional way. In fact, players in an e-Lottery UK syndicate enjoy a 702% advantage over single ticket holders.

The e-Lottery Euro Millions Syndicate was added to the already successful UK National Lotto Syndicate in 2004. This product offers players a much greater 3600% chance of scooping the massive Euro Lotto Jackpot over those players buying tickets from lottery outlets.

E-Lotbidder, introduced in May 2006, is the third offering of the e-Lottery business program. This product fits into the market sector known as skill gaming. This is a sector of the overall gaming market that analysts suggest will see a significant expansion by 2010 turning it into one of the fastest growing global markets.

e-Lotbidder is a top internet auction site and an online skill game combined. However, e-Lotbidder is what is known as a ‘reverse’ auction so instead of the highest bidder walking away with the prize, it is in fact the lowest unique bidder who succeeds. Due to this fact a selection of top end prizes have been picked up for pennies, and to date, among many other items won, a Mercedes CLK worth £38,000 has been collected.

VWD’s fourth venture commenced its global exposure in July 2007 when the uVme (You Versus Me) brand entered global pre-launch. uVme has been in development over the past two years and is another excursion by VWD into the booming global online entertainment market. uVme unites two of the largest and fastest growing markets on the internet today – online games of skill and social networking. uVme will be launching globally on the 21st of January 2008 and it promises to be VWD’s most successful product yet.

If you are looking to earn money from either the e-Lottery or uVme businesses, here are some facts about the two that may interest you. The e-Lottery affiliate program has been in existence for over five years and its network of affiliates has registered in excess of 170,000 members from 133 countries around the world.

Although uVme is still yet to launch and can therefore not provide any recruitment statistics, here are some industry figures that may well interest you. The skill gaming market that uVme is entering is currently (2007) worth $164 USD per second. By 2010, industry experts predict this figure to be closer to $412 USD per second.

With the five years of experience and success VWD have behind them with the e-Lottery syndicate system, uVme really does promise to take the online entertainment industry by storm in January 2008.

So whether you choose to join and promote the e-Lottery or uVme associate programs you can be safe in the knowledge that you have a fantastic company behind you.

SEO and Web design. Two birds of a feather…

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and web design go hand in hand. One cannot function without the other. Sure, you could have a well designed website on the internet and pay for traffic and advertising. However, no one will find you while doing a search. The benefits of being found on search engines will cut the cost of paid advertising. Yet everyday there are people who spend a great deal of money to have a site designed but wouldn't think of having it optimized. Why, you ask? Is it the cost of SEO? Would they rather have a site created and avoid optimization to save a few bucks? If that's the case…what do they plan to do with this site when it is completed? Advertise? SEO is advertising. It is actually one of the cheapest forms of advertising.

Were they planning on a PPC campaign? Buying banners? Page impressions on some click network? You've got to be kidding me. Why would anyone waste their money on those subpar options before optimizing their site?

In the long run, you’ll spend more on those “other” methods and receive fewer results than if you optimized and maintained the optimization of your site. Eventually, you’ll wind up needing SEO anyway. Trust me. If you ever wanted to know anything about something, chances are you’ve searched for it first. You didn't click on a banner or surf into it from some click through network. Now don’t get me wrong, PPC is great if you know what you’re doing. SEO paired off with PPC is a great combination. You may even do some PPC while your SEO is taking place. Any method is better than none at all.

Unfortunately, there are those who do business on the web who think that spending money on web design alone will help attract business. You can have the most interesting storefront the world has ever seen, but if you open up for business in the middle of the desert, it won't make any difference.

So, what do you do? Hire a designer and then an SEO guru? That would be costly. Hire a web designer that has some knowledge of SEO to optimize your site? Not a good idea. That may hurt more then help. Search engines today are smarter then they were just a few years ago. You don't want to be penalized for bad SEO methods or worse yet have no real SEO results from contracting a web designer with only marginal experience in optimization.

You need to find a web design company that has an SEO expert on board. SEO is a full time job. You want to make sure the SEO guru is knowledgeable and is up to speed with the latest algorithms. Check their portfolio and ask to see their SEO achievements. You should be able to contact their present or former clients to see if they are happy with their results. Remember, anybody can spot a great looking website, but SEO experience should be researched before you hire anyone. Ask for a proven track record. If you can find the right combination of an SEO guru and experienced web designers in one package, you can save a lot of time and money while taking care of the first two things every business should: getting customers to your site and giving them a reason to stay.

Affiliate Programs, Overcoming Cancer With Nature’s Help

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Fifteen Years ago I was diagnosed with Cancer. That horrible word we associate with death. At the time I was in what I would call the prime of my life. Thirty-eight years young, a son graduating Hi-School, and the Perfect Wife. Life in general was good and I had made so many plans for our future. Hearing the word Cancer and Having a Dr. look into your eyes and say “You Have Cancer” are two completely different animals. To be quite honest, nothing can shake a man’s soul and test a man’s faith as much as an assault on his core belief’s and his life’s plans. Keeping this in mind I underwent two very serious surgery’s and a very aggressive Chemo-campaign to kill this Cancer that had began to try and kill me.Over the course of my Chemo, I had much care and support from my family and at that time I thought in my own minds eye the Hospital and all of my Doctors were trying to kill me or that the chemo was going to fry me through and through so the staff could serve me up for a late night dinner.:) Literally, I was burning inside and out, what I might call, well done and ready to serve! At about my weakest hour God sent his angel of mercy to my door, that being a sister-in-law who was at the time a practicing nurse, and she recommended for me to start Juicing fruits and vegetables for my recovery time to be sped up. Yea, Right!! During that time I would have tried anything to stop the intense burning feeling. My wife started me out on eight glasse of carrot’s a day. As a refresher I ask her to start adding a few apples to the drink and even crushed Ice. Soon I found I was being so refreshed with apples and carrot’s, we began adding oranges to this miracle healer. The effect’s were so immediate that i couldn’t get enough of this Nature Drink! I began planning and preparing for these drinks as my chemo cycles were winding down and to my astonishment the pain and suffering from it was becoming a thing of the past. We have since become addicted to these healthy miracle drinks and have made them a part of our everyday lives choosing to mix vegetables and fruits and will always be so thankful for Nature’s Way of healing. This is not at all to brag, but at 53 years young, I do believe I’m the only old man on my block that can still bench press 300lb. There are many recipes to be found and God willing ever before you get sick, start now to improve your daily health with Nature’s Nutrient’s and Vitamens. May God Bless and Keep You And Yours , Vernon Cook http://www.allincome4u.com
